Quick answer

Measure your foot length in centimetres (your Mondopoint size), choose a last width that matches your forefoot, and a flex for your weight and level: 80–100 for beginners, 100–120 for strong intermediates, 120 and above for experts.

Measure your feet

Stand on a sheet of paper and measure from heel to longest toe in centimetres. That is your Mondopoint size, e.g. 27.5.

Width (last)

Narrow: 97–98 mm. Average: 100 mm. Wide: 102 mm and above.

Flex

Lighter or less aggressive skiers: 80–100. Strong intermediates: 100–120. Experts: 120 and above.

Try them on properly

Wear thin ski socks, buckle firmly and flex forward. Your toes should brush the front when standing and pull back when flexed. Wear them at home for 30 minutes before deciding.

Should ski boots be tight?

Snug but not painful: your heel should stay down when you flex forward and your toes should just brush the front when standing upright.
