Your online ski & snowboard shop, born in the Alps
Winter Sportz is an online winter sports shop for skiers and snowboarders across Europe. We stock skis, snowboards, ski boots, bindings, helmets, goggles and technical clothing, all chosen and tested by people who spend the winter in the Alps. Orders over €99 ship free to EU countries.
How to choose skis
Start with where you ski. All-mountain skis (80–95 mm underfoot) handle groomed pistes and the odd powder day. Piste and carving skis (under 80 mm) grip hard snow and love short, quick turns. Freeride skis (100 mm and wider) float in deep snow, while lightweight touring skis are built for climbing as well as descending.
Choosing a snowboard
Camber boards give pop and edge hold; rocker and hybrid profiles are more forgiving and float better in powder. Flex matters too: softer boards suit park riding and progression, stiffer boards suit speed and big-mountain lines. Compare all-mountain snowboards, freestyle snowboards and splitboards.
Ski boots: the most important purchase
A boot that fits well makes any ski better. Measure your foot length in centimetres (Mondopoint), check your forefoot width (last) and choose a flex that suits your weight and ability. Our ski boot fitting guide explains it step by step.
Helmets, goggles and protection
Look for ski helmets certified to EN 1077, ideally with rotational impact protection such as MIPS. Choose ski goggles by lens category: S2–S3 for most alpine days, photochromic lenses for changing light. Heading off-piste? Add an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, and learn how to use them.

Questions, answered
Shipping, returns, sizing and service. Can't find what you need? Our team replies within one working day.
Contact usDo you ship skis and snowboards across Europe?
Yes. We ship to every EU country, plus Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom. Orders over €99 ship free within the EU, and most deliveries arrive in 2–5 working days.
What is your return policy?
You can return unused gear within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Returns within the EU are free: print the prepaid label from your account and drop the parcel off.
How do I choose the right ski length?
As a rule of thumb, beginners choose skis around chin height, intermediates around nose height and experts at forehead height or longer. Freeride and powder skis can be longer still. Use our ski size calculator for a personal recommendation.
What skis should a beginner buy?
A soft, forgiving all-mountain ski under 90 mm underfoot, about 15–20 cm shorter than your height, or a complete ski + binding set. See our skis for beginners and the beginner's gear guide.
What should I wear skiing?
Three layers: a merino or synthetic base layer, a fleece or light down mid layer, and a waterproof, breathable ski jacket and pants. Add one pair of ski socks, gloves, a helmet and goggles. More in what to wear skiing.
Can you mount and adjust my ski bindings?
Yes. Add binding mounting at checkout and enter your boot sole length, height, weight and ability. Our technicians mount the bindings and set the release value (DIN) to ISO 11088 before dispatch.
Are prices shown including VAT?
Yes. All prices are shown in euros (€) and include VAT for deliveries within the EU. Duties and taxes for non-EU countries are calculated at checkout.
What warranty do your products have?
Every product comes with the statutory two-year EU warranty. Many brands add their own manufacturer warranty on top, which is listed on each product page.
